JOB HIGHLIGHTS (Overview of the Position)

PIGEON is in search of a talented, ambitious, and bilingual Manager, People and Culture to join our team and contribute to our success. This person will play a crucial role in further shaping our workplace culture, managing HR functions, and driving initiatives that align with our company's goals and values and enhance the employee experience.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

○            Collaborate with leadership to further develop our HR/People and Culture strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives.

○            Work closely with the CEO and CFO to manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.

○            Lead by example and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects our values.

○            Manage the recruitment process with Hiring Managers, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, assessment, selection and the offer process, as well as coordinating with them on orientations.

○            Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, as well as policies and procedures.

○            Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on Employee Relations and HR-related matters.

○            Arrange or conduct relevant/required training sessions on topics such as diversity, equity, and inclusion, and other HR-related areas; and work with the management team to coordinate our internal Pigeon U training program.

○            Manage employee benefits and wellness programs.

○            Participate in planning key events with the social committee.

○            Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and overall workplace well-being. 

 

WHAT YOU BRING: 

●            You are:

○            Bilingual – this role services French and English employees in our offices in Quebec and Ontario

○            A People Person! With your people-first mindset, you are constantly attuned to and proactively addressing the evolving needs of our people.

○            We’re an independent agency so pro-active people who love to learn and want to take on challenges for growth will enjoy working with us!

○            We are a tight team but you’ll also work with autonomy, so you can work both collaboratively and independently

○            As an open and entrepreneurial shop, your enthusiastic attitude, unique personality, and positive cultural contributions will be welcome and right at home!

●            Skills you have/are building:

○            Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including fluency in both French and English (written and verbal) 

○            Solid knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations (ideally in ON and QC)

○            A high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee information.

○            Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization.

○            Strong ability to prioritize, organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail

○            Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

●            Your Education, Experience and/or Equivalents include:

○            Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

○            3-5 years’ generalist experience as an HR Coordinator, Manager, or similar role.

○            Good track record in successfully managing HR programs.

○            CHRP designation/in progress an asset.
